One of the participants in the fifth annual Israel Defense Exhibition (ISDEF), being held this week in Tel Aviv, is the Magen David Adom (MDA) first aid organization.
Like the other participants in the show, Magen David Adom is presenting its latest technologies to local and international companies.
MDA is showcasing its new supervisor vehicle, which is designed to be able to drive on all types of terrain, including terrain that has been ruined by a natural disaster such as a flood.
“We look at situations that we’ve never faced before and we are preparing the organization to face such situations,” Magen David Adom’s project manager Asi Dvilansky said, explaining the necessity for such a vehicle. “We don’t want to wait until something happens and then act, so we’re acting before it happens.”
A second innovation being presented by MDA at the exhibition is a vehicle which serves as a war room and which includes all the information and resources needed by a first aid officer to accurately respond to any emergency situation.
Dvilansky said that people from all over the world come to learn from Magen David Adom’s abilities and experiences.
“We also send our teams all over the world to learn from other nations,” he stressed.
