Israeli's Ministry of Tourism has figured out how to reach New Yorkers in one their most intimate spots – the coffee sleeve – in order to get them  to vote for the Dead Sea in the New7Wonders of Nature competition.

The initiative features a slogan on each coffee sleeve saying, “Anywhere else this would be just a lake, but this is the Dead Sea.”

On the back, travelers are encouraged to vote for the Dead Sea by visiting the designated website at www.votedeadsea.com .

The Dead Sea has advanced to the final round of the international online competition ranking the top seven natural wonders of the world. To do so, it has placed among the top 28 tourist sites as determined by more than one billion votes around the world.

“We are extremely excited about the launch of the new Dead Sea coffee sleeve,” said Chaim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America, “which will help create awareness for the Dead Sea as one of the world's greatest natural wonders in a unique and creative light.”

Travelers are also encouraged to submit personal photos with the Dead Sea coffee sleeve through the Israel Ministry of Tourism bloglet. A list of participating coffee shops is also available on the bloglet site.

Readers can vote for the Dead Sea through the campaign's social media websites on Facebook and Twitter as well as on the VoteDeadSea site as well, until November 20, 2011.
