MK Michael Ben-Ari (National Union) fired off a letter to the British government Wednesday asking Britain not to deport Sheikh Ra’ad Salah, but rather to keep him on British soil. Salah was arrested after he inexplicably succeeded in clearing the immigrations booth at Heathrow Airport.

The letter was forwarded through the British ambassador in Israel under the heading – “A Request to Leave Sheikh Ra’ad Salah in Britain.”
“I would like to compliment the British authorities upon the arrest of arch-terrorist Ra’ad Salah,” wrote Ben Ari.
Salah leads the Islamic movement in Israel, which is an affiliate of the Muslim Brotherhood. In our small country, the man works to create strife and internecine fighting between Israel’s Arab citizens and the Jewish people, as pointed out in the conclusions of the Committee of Inquiry into the Events of October 2000, which is known as the Or Committee.
It is a well known fact that Britain is very involved in Middle Eastern affairs and regularly expresses its genuine concern for peace in the region, and this is commendable.
As part of your sincere efforts, I would like to ask you to leave Salah in your care and not to send him to Israel. I think that his Muslim religious abilities can find a place of honor in the growing Islamic community within Great Britain.
By keeping him on your soil, you will provide proof that Britain is indeed working toward regional peace. At the same time, you will have received a personality of stature into your midst.
