The killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden at the beginning of the week by U.S. forces in Pakistan has brought with it reactions from around the world, and Israel’s MKs are no exception.
IsraelNationalNews brings you our translation of a handful of reactions to Bin Laden’s death from MKs from across the political board, as aired on Israel’s Knesset Channel:
“It was clear that he would be eventually caught,” said MK Haim Katz of the Likud party. “I’m sorry it didn’t happen earlier, and I’m sorry he was killed and not captured alive.”
MK Miri Regev (Likud) added that “The American President should be congratulated for a clean, surgical operation.”
“Terror must be defeated when it first appears,” emphasized MK Michael Ben-Ari of the National Union party. “Terror should not be catered to, forgiven, or treated with patience. Arch-terrorists should not be negotiation partners.”
