Contrary to what some believe, Israel is actually the greatest source of stability in today's Middle East, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said this week while speaking at the Council of Foreign Relations.

The Prime Minister acknowledged that his statement “flies in the face” of what many have heard. As proof of his statement, he said, “Just imagine what would happen if we weren't there. What would happen to some of our neighbors – I won't spell it out.”

Israel “stops the brunt of an attack that is directed at some of our Arab neighbors and directed at others beyond the middle east,” he said.

Netanyahu also discussed ties between the United States and Israel and the extensive intelligence and security cooperation between the two nations.
