The "Women in Blue and White" organization recently combined with the non-partisan student organization "Im Tirtzu" [from the line by Zionist visionary Theodore Herzl "If you will it, it is not a dream." –ed.] to hold a rally on behalf of Israeli forces protecting the construction of Israel's security barrier near the Arab village of Na'alin, about half way between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The security forces are regularly targeted in violent demonstrations by local Arabs, Israeli leftists and anarchists, and members of the ultra-leftist International Solidarity Movement, who have injured dozens of soldiers by throwing rocks and other missiles. The soldiers are also subjected to harsh media criticism and face legal proceedings whenever someone on the other side gets hurt.

Anarchists against the security/separation barrier

One of the soldiers told Israel National Radio's Walter Bingham, "We're very happy to see everybody… come behind us and tell us that it's very good that we are here." Referring to the many rioters they have arrested, the soldier said the courts usually let them out after a week, so they see the same people again and again, and recognize them.

Rally organizer Erez Tadmor told Walter, "This is one of the reasons we are here. We are here to say to the courts and to the judges, 'These people, breaking the law, they're violent and they should sit in prison.'" He added, "We're here to put pressure on the establishment to do what it's supposed to do; to enforce the law."

Israeli leftists and international anarchists sabotage the barrier.

Tadmor said the rallies will continue on a bi-weekly basis, explaining, "Eventually, I hope that the people from the radical left from all over the world won't be able to come here again. We have to close this border to these people." He added, "And the people who have Israeli citizenship should be brought before a judge and pay for what they do."
