The IDF reported on two rockets, while other sources reported on either three or four rockets. At least one Kassam landed near Kibbutz Netiv HaAsarah, just north of the Gaza border, and another one landed in the city of Sderot.

Several rockets were fired at Sderot over the weekend, including two on Saturday morning, and another was fired towards Ashkelon on Friday night. One missile landed in the Elite chocolate factory, according to Sderot blogger Mechi Fendel.

Close to 500 Sderot residents protested last night (Saturday) outside the home of Defense Minister Amir Peretz, Chairman of the Labor Party and a resident and former mayor of the city. They held torches and signs, calling upon the government to undertake a major military offensive in Gaza to stop the Kassam rockets.

Sderot municipality spokesman Yossi Cohen said he regretted that more people - out of the town of 23,000 - did not come to the privately-organized protest. He said that Mayor Eli Moyal will be starting a different type of protest next week. Moyal will visit the United Nations in New York and the General Assembly in Los Angeles, in an effort to awaken American Jewry to the dire situation in Sderot.
