Israeli border police arrested 106 Arabs who illegally infiltrated from the Palestinian Authority into pre-1967 Israel.

Twenty-six Israelis and a Jordanian citizen were also arrested on suspicion of transporting, housing, and employing the illegal Arabs.

Israeli law sets stiff penalties for smuggling Arabs out of the Palestinian Authority. Arab terrorists often infiltrate illegally on their way to carry out terrorist attacks against Israel. The security barrier being built along the pre-1967 lines is designed to preclude infiltration attempts.
