(IsraelNN.com) A meeting is scheduled Sunday evening between the Prime Minister’s Office director-general Avigdor Yitzhaki and members of the Union of Local Authorities regarding the open-ended strike. The strike is scheduled to continue tomorrow.
All municipal services including garbage collection, welfare services, cultural activities, and regular education services are not operating. The 15 cities that are not dependent on government balancing grants, which include Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Beersheba, are not participating in the strike. Jerusalem, however, and 237 other local authorities are taking part.
