Im Tirzu Head: Passing NGO Law Would Stop Boycotts

Ronen Shoval, founder of the Im Tirtzu movement, on Friday said that the solution to the boycotts of Israel lies in the passing of the "NGO Law", which would mandate greater transparency on the part of NGOs that are funded by foreign governments, and cancel the tax-free status they enjoy.

"As one of the authors of the NGO Law, I believe that passing it in the Knesset would be the way to solve the growing problem of boycotts," said Shoval, adding, "The State of Israel must stop the foreign funding of the industry of hatred against Israel, led by radical left-wing organizations that are working in an anti-democratic fashion and branding the State of Israel as an apartheid state and IDF soldiers as war criminals. This is the sapling from which the boycott against the state grows."
