32 Illegal Aliens Arrested in Ashdod

During routine checks carried out by enforcement officials of the Southern District's Population and Immigration Authority last night (Sunday), 32 illegal workers were arrested in Ashdod, who were employed at several local businesses, contrary to the terms of the tourist visas on which they had entered the country.

Ten of the detainees had been employed at a fish-processing facility, and another ten at a bakery shop. The remaining illegals had been located in various apartments, and after initial questioning, it was revealed that they, too were illegally employed.

The 32 illegals were comprises of 31 Ukrainians, and one Russian, of which 20 were female and 12 male. They were all employed at one of three businesses implicated.
