The Rabbi of the Western Wall, Shmuel Rabinovitch, took the time to comment on the latest campaign being promoted by the Women of the Wall group is pure provocation.  (The campaign is aimed toward girls to have their Bat Mitzvas (coming of age ceremony) at the Western Wall, like the boys do. Presently, girls do have a ceremony, but in different venues.)

"I regret that there are still those who wish to fan the flames of controversy, and put on an aggressive media campaign. And to our sorrow, the Women of the Wall group is responsible for putting forth an attempt via this campaign to disrupt the peace and prevent an acceptable solution to all parties from being reached," the rabbi said.
