Federal Judge Finds BP 'Grossly Negligent' in 2010 Gulf Oil Spill

According to a report by NBC news, a US federal judge has found British Petroleum Plc “grossly negligent” in its role in the 2010 oil spill which ravaged the Gulf of Mexico.  The ruling could add billions of dollar in fines to the $42 billion that it has been charged thus in the worst offshore disaster that can be remembered in US history.

“The Court has concluded that the oil spill was the result of either gross negligence or willful misconduct by BP”, US District Court Judge Carl Barbier stated in his ruling.
