Sderot Mayor Davidi Apologizes for Comments to Ya'alon

Sderot Mayer Alon Davidi offered apologies early this week for the harsh things he said about Minister of Defense Moshe Ayalon during Operation Protective Edge, according to a report by Channel 2.

At the government's cabinet meeting which took place in the Gaza periphery communities this week, Davidi made public his apology to the Defense Minister, and later on went up to him to offer them personally, as urged by Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz..

Alon Davidi, attacked Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon during the war, calling him “a minister without security” (as opposed to the Hebrew version of his title, which means “minister of security”), deriding him as “limp” and saying that he should resign.

An unnamed defense establishment source said that Davidi “spoke in a bullying fahion toward the entire defense establishment.”
