Israel Railways Employees Under Suspicion for Corruption and Embezzlement

25 Israel Railways employees have been arrested under suspicion of having submitted inflated invoices and invoices for services never requested in order to pocket the funds. 

During an investigation of the Sanitation Department of Israel Railways, certain managers are suspect of sub-contracting cleaning services to outside companies and personnel, submitting inflated invoices and circumventing VAT and other tax laws which amounted to tens of millions of shekels.

The investigation is being conducted with the full co-operation of Israel Railways.
