Miami-Dade Country police announced this past Friday that they are making some progress in tracking down the gunman who shot Rabbi Yosef Raksin to death early last month. Investigators have said they have obtained home surveillance video showing a man fleeing the scene shortly after the shooting occurred.
Detective Alvaro Zabalta announced that Crime Stoppers (a program that permits anonymous tips to police) was offering a $3,000 reward for help in catching the Rabbi’s killers.
Rabbi Raksin was from the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn who was in North Miami visiting relatives. He was killed on his way to Sabbath services at the nearby Beis Menachem Synagogue during what is being called an attempted robbery.
