Search for Missing Yeshiva Student Aharon Soffer Intensifies

The search for Aharon Soffer, the Yeshiva (Torah academy) youth who went missing in the Jerusalem Forest last Friday has intensified.

After tireless search effortrs throughout the week, the IDF has now also mobilized its special canine unit as well as its equestrian unit to continue combing the area for the missing 23-year-old.  The search parameters have also been expanded to include areas bordering and surrounding the Jerusalem Forest, such as Ein Kerem, Kiryat Yovel, Beit Zayit, Beit Vagan and Har Nof. 

The public is again being asked to contact police if they have any relevant information as to the whereabouts of the young man at the police emergency number, 100.  Aharon is 1.75 meters, slim, sports a short red beard, and was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket, a white shirt, a black kipa and a black hat.
