Arab Faces Multiple Charges Trying to Evade Police Chase

The Central District's Prosecutor has this morning (Monday) filed with the Central District Court, for the indictment against Ahmed Isa, 40, of Kfar Kassem, for endangering human life on a public thoroughfare, assault leading to injury, and abandonment of the scene following assault, as well as several other charges.

During the course of his transporting four Palestinians illegally in Israel, the driver was asked to stop by police at the East Kfar Saba intersection. Instead of stopping, the driver started a high speed chase, weaving in and out of traffic, and only managing to avoid a head-on collision by causing three other cars to crash in the process.

The defendant then fled the scene on foot, ignoring orders by the police to stop. Isa was finally overpowered by the police who, with help from bystanders, got him into cuffs.
