'Bnei Torah' to Protest Nationwide Over Arrest of Yeshiva Student

The extreme faction, 'Bnei Torah', which is loyal to Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach in Jerusalem, is planning a nationwide protest over the arrest of Eliahu Cohen, a student at the Orhot David Yeshiva (Torah academy) who was placed under arrest after refusing order to appear before the draft board. The demonstration, which is to start at 7:00 p.m. is to take place throughout the country, including Jerusalem, Bnai Brak, Givat Shmuel, Modiin Elit, and Beit Shemesh. The organizers have said they will release updates as more locations are provided.

In the north, opposite Prison Six (a military prison) where the young man is being held, a tent of learning is being set up, so that words of Torah and encouragement will give him strength and allow him to keep learning.
