US: Curfew in Missouri after Cop Shoots Youth Dead

A state of emergency has been proclaimed in the state of Missouri and a curfew has been imposed in Ferguson, a suburb of the state’s city of Saint Louis. The decision to do so was made following a week of riots and protests against police brutality, following the death of Michael Brown, an African-American youth who was shot dead by local police, despite being unarmed.

Missouri’s District Prosecutor has announced its intentions to round up a jury within “The next few days,” in order to examine the youth’s death in greater detail.
