Resident of Kfar Manda Caught Smuggling Eggs Over 'Green Line'

Patrolmen from the Binyamin police station spotted a commercial van trying to pass Route 60's 'Night' checkpoint.

During questioning, the driver - a 48-year-old resident of the northern Israeli-Arab village of Kfar Manda - admitted that he had bought eggs in the Palestinian Authority with the intention of bringing them over the 'Green Line'. The van contained 12,000 eggs under inappropriate health conditions without Veterinary Inspection supervision.

The eggs were seized, and the driver brought in for questioning.
