Home Front Command Assesses Situation, Issues New Instructions

At the end of a morning (Friday) session to reassess the situation since the resumption of rocket fire at Israel's southern communities, the Home Front Command has issued a new set of instructions to residents.

Communities within 40 kilometers of the Gaza Strip, have been asked to not have gatherings of over 500 persons, whether it be in closed or open areas. Dispersal activities may take place on condition that upon hearing a warning siren or alarm, people enter the nearest protected area or take appropriate actions, depending on the time available to them.

For communities 40-80 kilometers of Gaza, no crowds or gatherings of over 1,000 people in open areas. All shelters within 80 kilometers of the Strip are to be open, as well.
