Indictment Filed Against Rahat Newsboy for Etching Swastikas on Cars


An indictment was filed this morning in the Be'er Sheva District Court against a resident of the Bedouin town of Rahat who, during Operation 'Protective Edge', scratched swastikas onto cars in the community of Lehavim.

Details in the indictment filed by prosecutor Rachel Almakais revealed that the accused had been employed as a paperboy at the time the crime was committed. During the course of the recent fighting in Gaza, during 'Operation Protective Edge, while distributing newspapers, the defendant allegedly scratched swastikas onto 11 cars that he had decided were most likely owned by Jews. Ironically, two of the vehicles were actually owned by Arabs.
