MK Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid), who heads the Knesset Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality, on Wednesday called on the Defense Ministry and the IDF to recognize the special status of the girlfriends and fiancées of the fallen soldiers.
"These girls need proper therapy, between 20 to 40 treatments,” said Lavie. “Today there is an association of women who have experienced similar losses in previous wars, they have support groups, but it is not enough. In some cases the wedding invitations were already sent out. Someone has to take care of these women.”
