Foreign Ministry Disappointed in South American Ambassadors

The Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem has expressed deep disappointment in the rash decision made by the governments of El Salvador, Peru and Chile, to bring their ambassadors back to their home countries for consultations.

“This step is a form of encouragement for Hamas, an organization known as a terrorist organization by many world countries,” Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Yigal Palmor said. “Israel expects countries that oppose terrorism to act responsibly and not award prizes to terrorists… It would have been better for El Salvador, Chile and Peru to join international proceedings and help Israel in its attempt to defend innocent citizens and reach a permanent ceasefire…”
