B'nei Akiva Reaches Out to Foreign Airline Crews in Appreciation

Members of the World B'nei Akiva Youth Movement who have been undergoing leadership training in Israel this year, will today (Monday) be going to Ben Gurion Airport in order to welcome the stewards and stewardesses of foreign airlines in appreciation of their fine work. Their goal is to create a more relaxed atmosphere and give encouragement to these crew members who fly in and out of Israel as part of their duties, even though there be a war presently taking place.

Movement members are familiar with what these airline employees are feeling as they, too, are not originally from Israel, but have come here from other countries. Through their understanding of what it is like to hear of war and terrorist attacks from foreign media outlets, they aim to calm their fears and reduce anxiety as they see what is really happening here.
