Shekel, Pound, Yen Down - US Dollar Outpaces Euro

The official value of the shekel declined an averae of .637 percent, Friday, against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.426, up .705 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .654 percent to 4.6137 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.8148 shekels, up .498 percent, while 100 Japanese yen advanced .427 percent to NIS 3.3612. The Canadian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.1846, up four tenths of a percent, while its Australian counterpart gained .339 percent to 3.2226 shekels. the Swedish krona was set at .5026 shekels, up .985 percent, and the South African rand rose .401 percent to NIS .3255.
