MK Liberman Expects Special Understanding from the UK

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman met on Thursday morning with Britain’s Foreign Minister, Phillip Hammond. Liberman told Hammond hat Israel expects a special understanding from the British, referring to the bombing of London during World War Two.

Liberman said that “We learned from Churchill that even if the price is blood, sweat and tears, a nation desirous of life must fight for its freedom. So too we cannot allow Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv or the cities in the south be threatened by missile fire and it is our obligation to fight for the freedom and normal lives of Israeli citizens.”
