Obama and Kerry Discuss Ceasefire Efforts

U.S. President Barack Obama spoke on Wednesday night with Secretary of State John Kerry regarding the latest developments in Washington’s efforts to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

According to a statement from the White House, Kerry has been in contact with Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, the European Union, the United Nations, the Arab League, Qatar, Jordan, Turkey and UAE. These efforts are being made in order to find a way to end the current round of violence and restore stability in the region, according to the statement.
