Shekel Down - Pound Outpaces Yen, Euro, US Dollar

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .282 percent, Friday, against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.421, up .323 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .364 percent to 4.6298 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5,8542 shekels, up .393 percent, while 100 Japanese yen advanced .375 percent to NIS 3.373. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.2102, up .41 percent, while its Canadian counterpart advanced .23 percent to 3.1813 shekels, and the South African rand was set at .32 shekels, up .471 percent.
