Jewish National Fund chairman Efi Shtenzler said on Friday that the JNF office in France had received warnings from security officials and the Paris police, that multiple extremist Palestinian Arab groups plan to hold a large demonstration near the office and block access to it.
Following consultations with security agencies, it was decided to close the office for a short period of time. Shtenzler noted that such a mass demonstration was recently held in front of the Paris office of the JNF and it escalated to violence.
"This is yet another serious step in the continued struggle by extremist Palestinian organizations against the JNF in Europe. These organizations recognize that the JNF is the Zionist settlement arm of Israel and as such try to harm it in any way. We will continue the Zionist endeavor that we have undertaken - development of the State of Israel and especially the Negev and Galilee, for future generations," he said.
