Tzohar: Murder of Arab Teen Violation of Commandment

The Tzohar Rabbinical Council reacted, Monday morning, to the arrest of Jewish suspects in last week's killing of Jerusalem Arab Mohammed Abu Khdr by expressing "shock and disgust at the possibility that a Jews killed the Arab youth. This act is completely contrary to the prohibition 'You shall not murder' which we were commanded at Mount Sinai, to Jewish law throughout the ages and basic human morality.

Referring to the kidnap murder of three Jewish youths on June 12th, the statement by the group continued, "This act causes desecration of G-d's name, the Torah of Israel and the Jewish people in the world. Our justified demand of justice for the murderers of our three children and those who helped them does not justify such a vile act and requires the Israeli government to put these criminals to justice and soon."
