High Court Agrees to Hear Zaken Corruption-Case Tapes

A five-judge panel of the Supreme Court, headed by President Asher Grunis, decided, Sunday, to permit the prosecution to present two recordings by Shula Zaken, former office manager for former prime minister Ehud Olmert, ahead of the prosecution appeal of Olmert's acquittal in the cash-envelopes case. American businessman Morris (Moshe) Talansky allegedly gave Olmert hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.

The recordings are intended to back up other new evidence in the case.
