The Petah Tikva Magistrates Court extended by eight days, Sunday, the remand of five suspects arrested in last week's murder of Mohammed Abu-Khdr of Jerusalem. A sixth suspect's remand was extended by five days. The court also extended a gag order on the case until further notice.
A team of attorneys from the Honenu legal-aid organization said they would appeal the remand extension and protested a ban on meeting with their clients. The suspects said they were subjected to hours of intensive interrogation and denied, sleep, food, water and the opportunity to relieve themselves in a dignified way.
