Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange finished the trading week, Thursday, with modest to moderate gains. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,258.83, up .45 percent for the day, while the TA 100 rose six tenths of a percent to 1,260.18, including a gain of .67 percent by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,046.92, down 1.6 percent.
Leading the gainers was the insurance index, which climbed 1.29 percent to 1,519.57 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,249.51, up nine tenths of a percent, including an advance of 1.26 percent to 1,294.99 by the bank issues. The real-estate stocks closed at 396.58, up .81 percent, followed by the oil and natural-gas index, which rose .69 percent to 1,364.50. Most of the technology issues stood at 342.23, up .41 percent, while the biomed stocks declined .89 percent to 899.32, and the communications index advanced .18 percent to 784.95.
