Dempsey: Examining Whether Iraq Can Cope with Extremists


Chairman of the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, said that his forces are currently in the process of determining whether the Iraqi government is capable of coping with the threat of extremist organizations.

Dempsey said that some of the 750 soldiers currently stationed in Iraq are on location in order to investigate the possibility of Iraq coping with the extremists.
