Gershon Mesika, head of the Shomron (Samaria) Regional Council reacted on Monday evening to the murders of the three Israeli teenagers.
“This is a difficult moment for the people of Israel. A moment of awakening, I hope, also for those who believe that peace can be made with human animals. People who murder students just because they are Jews. These are the people who some in Israel and around the world believe that you can live alongside in peace," said Mesika.
"Since the kidnapping we have been receiving requests from people who say that they are not willing to continue to travel on public transportation with the Palestinians, and that they fear for their lives and the lives of their children,” he continued. “The residents demand a separate public transportation for them and the Palestinians and you cannot fault them for that.”
