Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu discussed rocket fire from Gaza and efforts to rescue three abducted teenagers when he appeared, Monday afternoon, before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Regarding the rescue effort, he said, "Our first goal was and is to return the boys home. Our instructions to the Israel Defense Forces is to spare no means to realize this goal."
Netanyahu said Israel was defending itself against the rocket attacks, noting a hit on a terror cell on Sunday. He continued, "I am saying, very clearly, if the quiet obtained following operation Pillar of Defense is violated and if the shooting continues, there are two options: Either Hamas will stop it or we will stop it. We will not allow the continuation of this shooting."
