Cornerstone for New Neighborhood in Cochav Ya'akov

A cornerstone was laid, Sunday evening, for the Nof Harim neighborhood in the Binyamin region Jewish community of Cochav Ya'akov, north of Jerusalem. The project includes 60 new dwelling units and is part of a boom which includes a building with three synagogues and a banquet hall.

Taking part in the ceremony were Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, Member of Knesset Eli Yishai and Chairman Avi Ro'eh of the Binyamin Regional Council. Referring to the rally in Tel Aviv for the three abducted teens, Yishai said, "At the same time, while thousands are gathered in Rabin Square, here in Kochav Yaakov they are building. This is the main message tonight and our response to the serious incident of the abduction of the boys: the construction of another community and another neighborhood and another synagogue." He expressed hope that the unity displayed would carry on and with Heaven's help because of it, the three boys would be returned."
