President-elect Reuven Rivlin told thousands at a rally for the three abducted teenagers, Sunday evening in Tel Aviv's Rabin Square, "We are not gathered here because we have lost hope. We are gathered here because we have not lost hope at all." Referring to the angel who interceded for Isaac on Mount Moriah (Genesis 22:12), he told the abductors, "We stand here this evening and call to all who have a human heart, don't raise your hands against the boys. This is a plea to open the gates of the heavens. This is a plea to open the gates of the heart."
Rivlin stressed, "At any place, any time, any religion and in any language, there should be no doubt, this is terror, murderous terror that must be defeated everywhere."
