Doctors in Tzfat Remove Bullet from Syrian's Neck

It was announced on Sunday that surgeons at Ziv (Sieff) Medical Center in the central Galilee city of Tzfat saved the life of a Syrian civil-war victim by removing a 2.5-centimeter (about 1-inch) Kalashnikov bullet lodged in his throat.

The doctors were assisted by technology to avoid important blood vessels and the victim's spinal column. The victim was surprised to see the bullet. He thought he had been wounded by shrapnel.
