Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange finished the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses for the day. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,249.38, down .36 percent, while the same percentage decline meant a posting of 1,248.60 for the TA 100, including a drop of .31 percent to 1,384.36 for the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,071.10, down .48 percent.
The lone bright spot was the insurance index, which rose .42 percent to 1,512.84 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,247.43, down .12 percent, including a slip of .03 percent to 1,288.22 by the bank issues. The biomed stocks stood at 904.69, down .45 percent, while the rest of the technology index lost .63 percent to 332.94. The real estate issues closed at 394.05, down .49 percent, and the communications stocks fell .97 percent to 802.75. Worst hit was the oil and natural-gas index, which closed at 1,350.54, down 1.1 percent.
