Shekel, Pound, Yen Up - Euro, US Dollar Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .138 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.432, down .262 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro declined .182 percent to 4.6734 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.8437 shekels, up .11 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .08 percent to NIS 3.3734. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.2313, up .292 percent, while its Canadian counterpart advanced .062 percent to 3.2051 shekels and the South African rand fell .432 percent to .3227 shekels.
