Spain: Corruption Charges Filed against Princess Cristina

A Spanish courthouse announced that charges have been filed against Spain’s Princess Cristina and her husband, Iñaki Urdangarín. The princess is accused of tax evasion and money laundering, following suspicions that she and her husband transferred funds from charity foundations to companies under their ownership.

The court’s announcement came one week after the princess’ brother, Felipe, was crowned king.
