Gov’t to Approve Plan to Encourage European Aliyah

The government is expected to approve on Sunday of a program to encourage aliyah (immigration to Israel) from Europe and a national program to encourage aliyah from all over the world, which was formulated by Minister of Immigrant Absorption, Sofa Landver, together with the Jewish Agency and World Zionist Federation.  

According to the decision, the government will allocate 30 million Shekels over the next two years to encourage aliyah. MK Landver said that “In light of the intensification of anti-Semitism in Europe, there is a veritable need to encourage aliyah from Europe.
