The pound sterling was set at 5.8646 shekels, down .109 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .018 percent to NIS 3.3824. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.2436, up .458 percent, while its Canadian counterpart rose .016 percent to 3.1818 shekels. The Norwegian krone was set at .5654 shekels, down 1.601 percent, and the South African rand advanced .622 percent to NIS .3233.
