Picture Stolen from Jews By Nazis Returned to Owners

A crew of experts affirmed that the Matisse painting entitled “Woman Sitting,” found in the apartment of the late art collector Cornelius Gurlitt, was plundered by the Nazis from the collection of Jewish art aficionado, Paul Rosenberg.

As per the requests of Germany’s police department, the experts ruled that the piece should be returned to the Rosenberg family, following Gurlitt’s death last month at the age of 81.
