Pro-Syrian Boycott Postpones Lebanese President Vote

A vote in the Lebanese parliament for a successor to former president Michel Sleiman was postponed, Monday, after members of the March 8th coalition (Hezbollah and the Free Patriotic Movement), which supports Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, boycotted the vote. It left the parliament without a quorum for the fifth time in six attempts to hold a presidential vote since the May 25th end of Sleiman's term.

Speaker Nabih Berri scheduled another attempt for June 18th, according to Lebanon's Daily Star.
