Gush Etzion Congested for Cherry Festival


Heavy traffic congestion was reported, Friday morning, between Rosh Tzurim, Kfar Etzion and the Gush Etzion Junction, south of Jerusalem, due to the Cherry Festival at Rosh Tzurim, which features "all you can eat" cherry picking, a farmers' market, food stands and workshops for the children.

About 8,000 cars arrived on the scene as of mid-morning, with thousands more expected, according to police. Families left cars at the side of the road and walked to Rosh Tzurim.
