Warning About 2 New Unacceptable Kosher Certificates

The Chief Rabbinate warned, Thursday, against kashrut certificates issued by Rabbi Gedalia Moshe Peterseil, who represents himself as the rabbi of the Shorashim congregation in Jerusalem. The rabbinate cited Arian Mekaron Catering of 6 Reish Lakish Street and asked the public to report any other businesses where this kashrut certificate appears.

The Chief Rabbinate also warned against use of meat with kashrut by the Karaite community, explaining that the Karaite method of slaughter was unacceptable under normative Jewish law. The rabbinate said legal action would be taken against butcher shops displaying this kashrut.
